Full of great dignity and internal calmness the centry old mosques, madrasas and memorials resonate the history of this civilization.  Bukara, one of the oldest cities in the world (around 2500 years old) was the cross roads of the world where traders from east and west met to buy and sell and probably exchange new ideas and philosphies.
The most spectacular architectural ensemble in Central Asia and the center of Smarkand since the Mongol invasion - when you see the three great madrasas for the first time, rising Madonna blue in the distance, it's hard not to feal you have arrived somewhere significant.
